Get started

delta v is a 90-day acceleration program, divided into three month-long sprints, each with its own focus. This page will help you guide yourself through the program, month by month, via recorded educational content, accountability frameworks and more. Let’s do this!

Before you begin

Here are some suggestions for how you might get yourself, your team and your venture ready for the 90-day program.

Self-navigation, month by month

The easiest way to navigate is to use the primary navigation bar to follow along, month by month, the way most accelerators are run. By the way: We need your feedback during our private beta period! Please click the Feedback button whenever you find a bug / think of an area of improvement / find something you like that you want us to keep doing. We will not be able to accommodate every idea, but we promise we will take all feedback into consideration. Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts.

You are currently on the Get Started page. It contains instructions to get started in May and early June, as well as handy links to dedicated pages for each of the next three months, focusing on a different theme in this order: Customer, Product, and Venture.

While the 90-day structure is a common structure used by most accelerators around the world, you may want to go through the structure at a different pace.  As long as you follow the order for the monthly focus, you will get the support to build a solid business case and the basis for a great venture.

Reference resources

Pro-tip: Bookmark the Reference page as a launchpad to peruse educational content and downloadable worksheets and frameworks.

Our reference materials are divided into four sections, each representing a key component of our delta v programming: Education, Accountability, Mentorship and Community. You can navigate to those pages from the Reference page. Alternatively, you can visit these pages directly from the red navigation bar at the top of every page.

At the Trust Center, we teach the Disciplined Entrepreneurship (DE) framework, based on the book and workbook of the same name by Professor Bill Aulet.  If you are new to this framework, visit our Disciplined Entrepreneurship overview page and use the resources to familiarize yourself with the concepts and terminology.

The resources for learning the DE framework can feel overwhelming. Here is a short list that will get you ready for Month 1.

  • Read the overview on the framework here
  • View 8 short videos to understand the focus for the first month: Who is your customer

One of the most effective feature of delta v is our accountability framework. Teams hold themselves accountable on three time frames: Weekly, Monthly, and through the 90-day period.

Read about the delta v Accountability Framework to understand how these three time frames work. Then download the accountability worksheets to familiarize yourself with the concept.

A defining feature of delta v is the monthly board meeting, in which teams summarize what they have achieved against the area of focus for the month, and reflect on where they made good progress and where they need additional work. Download and read the monthly rubrics for a preview of coming attractions.

Mentors are amazing resources and can provide feedback and advice, as well as to serve as thought partners for entrepreneurs. They can also be very busy. Think about when you would like to have chats with your mentors, and start the process of scheduling time so you can get on their calendar before it fills up.

Every month you will guide yourself through the following themes:

  • Prepare – all those administrative things that will help you get organized
  • Learn – brush up on your entrepreneurial knowhow and practice new skills
  • Build – apply everything you know to your own venture and make progress
  • Reflect – think about what you have learned and achieved and make plans for the next month
