DIY delta v (BETA) is a self-service learning, accountability and mentorship program for MIT student entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs can use resources and tools on this platform to follow the delta v operating system at their own pace. They will also be matched with an experienced mentor from the delta v community.
DIY delta v (BETA) is hosted and maintained by the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship.
MIT delta v is a mature program that has been held since 2012. It is a full service, full time, immersive educational summer accelerator for MIT startups. Events are synchronous and hosted by instructors, EIRs, staff members and volunteer mentors in real time. Learn more here.
DIY delta v (BETA) is an experimental self-guided learning and accountability program for MIT entrepreneurs. It is designed to be an asynchronousm, self-guided program with no synchronous support from MTC staff. The goal is to develop a platform to support entrepreneurs in self-directed learning.
No, there is no fellowship money available for beta testers.
For teams who opted into the experimental mentor matching program, mentors are drawn from a pool of highly experienced volunteers who have previously served as mentors, guest speakers or board members for delta v.
For the private beta in summer 2020, we expect to match each team with 1-2 mentors from the Martin Trust Center ecosystem. You are welcome and encouraged to recruit your own mentors from your personal networks.
Not until further notice. This is an experimental program, and we want to run a clean experiment with a cohort recruited from delta v 2020 applicants. We will let you know if/when we validate the usefulness of this program. Only then will it make sense to share it with a broader audience. Thank you for your understanding!
