Time flies! Can’t believe this is already the end of the month. Also: Have a happy 4th!
This is the time to reflect on your previous weeks with the help of the Month 1 rubric to take stock of your progress on Month 1’s focus area: Your customer.
Prepare
- Set up meetings with your mentors through the end of the summer to make sure you get on their calendars.
Learn
- Watch this coffee break series video about how to prototype an interactive mobile app. This one is a classic!
Build
- Review your product solution fit, and make sure your solution is directly and logically driven by your problem statement.
- Use this worksheet to review your product definition, and your progress towards building and testing it with real customers.
Reflect
On your venture
- Complete the Month 1 rubric and discuss it with your mentor
- Have you taken the time to celebrate wins with your team? If not, do it this week (and take some time off too! You deserve it!)
On your team process
- With almost a month down, has anything changed in terms of who does what? Revisit the RACI framework to look at roles and responsibilities, and adjust expectations as necessary.
- Looking at your own track record, ask yourself this: Is your team effective in working together? See how your team is doing against best practices presented in Linda Hill’s HBR article: A note on Team Process.
On your personal growth as an entrepreneur
- Complete this worksheet to take inventory on what you have learned, and how you would like to apply this knowledge.
Trivia question of the week:
- What makes the IDEO “Shopping Cart” case for Design Thinking still relevant after more than 20 years?
